Welcome back

Use a passkey saved on your device, in your password manager, or on a security key.

Your device will guide you through signing in. Hearth does not use passwords.

Make yourself at home

Choose a name, then create a passkey for your account.

Hearth keeps your account name, passkey details, preferences, and the notes and files you save here. What is kept, and how to delete it.

Use a backup code

If you cannot use any of your passkeys, enter one of the backup codes you saved.

Backup code

A valid code is used up when you continue. You then have five minutes to replace your passkeys. Once the replacement is saved, all your old passkeys stop working and your other sessions end.

Your older, shorter codes still work until you replace the set.

You may use the same device or password manager if it allows replacement. It can overwrite its old passkey before Hearth saves the new one. Any spare passkeys will need to be added again.

You can retry or reload this tab within the same five minutes. Closing a passkey prompt does not use another code.

Your passkeys

Each passkey gives you a way to sign in. Keep a spare on another device or a security key.

You have one passkey. Add a spare or save backup codes somewhere safe. If you lose every way to sign in, we cannot restore your account.

Backup information was reported when each passkey was added. Check your password manager before relying on a backup.

Backup codes

Keep these somewhere you can reach if you lose all your passkeys. Each code can be used once to replace your passkeys and sign out your other sessions. Anyone with an unused code can take over your account.

Closing or refreshing Account clears this copy. Store the codes away from the device you sign in with.

Creating a new set makes every code in the previous set stop working.
